25th - Paws in the Park (10AM - 2PM). Pet parade, pet education and demonstrations, rabies clinic, micro-chip your pet, photos with your pet, contests, prizes.

26th - Farmer Brown's Train Pumpkin Ride - rides to Farmer Brown's Pumpkin Patch. Pick your own pumpkin then ride the train back to town. $16.00 per person. Departs 1:30PM & again at 4:00PM. 1.5 hours round-trip. BR Scenic Railway (800) 934-1898

31st - Halloween Safe Zone - features costume parade & contest and free candy for the kids provided by downtown merchants that stay open late for the fun. Downtown Blue Ridge.

November

7th & 8th - GoLite USARA Adventure Race National Championships - teams compete in regional qualifying events throughout the year to reach this national championship. Qualifying teams will converge on GA/Blue Ridge to compete in a grueling 24-hour course including mountain biking, hiking, and kayaking the Toccoa River.

29th - Light Up Blue Ridge (11AM- 9PM). Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive on the train. Free photos with Santa, sing carols, and watch the lighting of the town tree at dusk. At the large Gazebo, downtown, Blue Ridge. Light Up Blue Ridge
